Our Fleet
At Vacpro Inc., we know that our operators can only work as hard as their equipment will allow. This is why it is so important to us to be able to stay functional, and reduce downtime when any issues arise. We achieve these goals via in-house services and repairs, and speedy roadside assistance at all times. We also ensure that our vehicles are all equipped with a few features that will help us get the job done in a safe and efficient manner. Check out a few of these features below, and how they help us power through even the toughest projects.
Driveline
We only use full sized tri-drive trucks with locking differentials, which help in distributing power equally to all wheels. In hydro excavation, where the terrain can be challenging or slippery due to water and soil, this feature ensures better traction, allowing us to get into and manoeuvre around construction sites efficiently. The additional axle helps distribute the weight more evenly, reducing the risk of getting stuck or losing control in challenging terrain.
Water Pump
The combination of a high GPM and PSI water pump system enables precise digging, especially in challenging or compacted soils, allowing operators to control the excavation process more effectively. High-pressure systems can often reach greater depths and distances from the equipment, providing us the ability to excavate in challenging or remote locations. Our operators are specially trained to to balance the power of these systems with the specific requirements of the excavation task at hand to fit the specific requirements of each project.
Hydraulic Telescopic Boom
Hydraulic telescopic booms can extend to varying lengths (20+ feet), providing an increased reach and versatility that allows operators to access difficult-to-reach areas without repositioning the truck frequently. The hydraulic system enables precise control over the boom's extension and retraction, allowing operators to manoeuvre the boom with increased accuracy to target specific excavation areas or depths. The use of remote hose allows us to add customizable lengths of hose to reach locations that would be inaccessible with just the boom.
High Capacity Debris Tanks
Large debris tanks allow us to load up with more debris than our competitors, meaning we get to spend more time working, and less time offloading.
Grounding
All our trucks are equipped with grounding/equipotential bonding as a safety measure to protect our workers as well as our equipment when working in close proximity to hydro/electrical utilities. Bonding helps prevent the buildup of static electricity, reducing the risk of electrical shocks to workers. By equalizing the electrical potential between various metallic components, equipotential bonding prevents potential damage caused by electrical discharges. This protection extends to the equipment used in hydro excavation, ensuring their longevity and safe operation.
Nozzles
We prefer to use rotating nozzles, which create a rotating water stream that helps break up soil more effectively. The spinning action allows for a more thorough and efficient excavation process, making it easier to loosen and remove soil. The rotating action can be adjusted or controlled to suit different soil types or excavation requirements, which helps prevent damage to underground utilities or other sensitive structures. The focused, rotating stream can dig more efficiently with less water (compared to non-rotating nozzles), making it a more environmentally friendly option.
High Volume Water Tanks
Our trucks are equipped with high volume water tanks, allowing us to haul up to 4 cubic metres of water to site. This provides us the ability to dig longer to maximise production without needing to stop to refill as often as others.
Positive Displacement Blowers
Our trucks are equipped with some of the largest PD blowers available in the hydrovac industry. The powerful airflow from the blower helps to quickly remove excavated material from the site. This not only accelerates the excavation process, making it faster and more efficient, but also allows us to excavate tougher materials (and at increased depths) due to increased suction. Due to the size of the blower, they are at high efficiency even at their base level, allowing us to keep our trucks at a lower rpm, producing less noise pollution for our workers and neighbours.
Wireless Remotes
Wireless remotes allow us to safely operate at a distance without having to remain beside the truck. Having the capability to turn our water and vacuum on and off with the press of a button not only keeps us working longer, but in a safer manner, which is our number one priority.
Boilers
Boilers allow for flexibility in various weather conditions. When dealing with frozen or compacted soil, hot water can be instrumental in softening it, allowing for easier excavation without damaging underground utilities or structures. Our boilers keep us working in even the coldest of weather conditions where production would otherwise be halted during the winter months, delaying projects until the spring when the ground begins to thaw.
